JANET JACKSON TO MOUNT FIRST TOUR IN 7 YEARS:

Janet Jackson is about to embark on her first North American tour in seven years to promote her new album "Discipline," the sixth chart topper of her career surpassing the five No. 1 albums logged by her famous brother, Michael Jackson.
Announced Monday during her appearance on "The Ellen Degeneres Show," the U.S.-Canadian swing of her Rock Witchu tour will begin Sept. 7 in Vancouver, British Columbia, with subsequent dates scheduled for New York and Washington, D.C., according to a rep for the tour's promoter Live Nation.
Jackson, 41, also said that fans can call her message line (323) 622-8139 and leave requests for songs to include on the tour.
