Pop star Janet Jackson is returning to her Rock Withchu Tour following an illness that landed her in hospital.

Jackson returned to her cross-country trek Saturday in Uncasville, Connecticut, reports accesshollywood.com.

"Janet, who has been under her doctor's care and was recuperating over the last week, is excited about getting back on the road and again being able to share with her fans what she feels is one of her best stage shows ever," her promoters Live Nation said in a statement.

The singer cancelled a string of concerts in Montreal, Boston, Philadelphia and Greensboro, North Carolina after she fell ill and was rushed to hospital during a pre-concert sound check September 29 in Montreal.
