HealthCorps" Presents "Highway to Health" Fair and Festival 2008

HealthCorps", the health educational and mentoring program founded by Dr. Mehmet Oz, announces New York City"s largest single day health fair spanning all five boroughs on Saturday, May 31, 2008 (www.healthcorps.org.)

WHAT: "Highway to Health" will offer healthy food booths, cooking demonstrations, fitness activities, health screenings and personalized medical consultations, plus prizes and giveaways.Hoping to attract at least 3000 attendees, each Health Fair will reflect local flavor with a mix of entertainment - live music, DJ"s, marching bands, step teams, singers, dancers and jugglers.

WHO:Dr. Oz will make a personal appearance and host press conferences at all five locations to help draw attention to the boroughs" health facilities and resources, as well as HealthCorps" mission. Dr. Oz, cardiac surgeon, best-selling author and Health Expert on The Oprah Winfrey Show, will be joined by such celebrity guests as New York City Council members, homegrown athletes and trainers, and musical performers.

WHERE: "Highway to Health" Fair 2008 will take place inside gyms and on school grounds:

* Tottenville High School at 100 Luten Avenue, Staten Island from 10 am to 2 pm * Press Conference scheduled for 10 a.m.

* Grand Street Enterprise High School at 850 Grand Street, Brooklyn from 10 am to 2 pm * Press Conference scheduled for 11 a.m.

* Hillcrest High School at 160-05 Highland Avenue, Queens from 11 am to 3 pm * Press conference scheduled for noon

* Lehman High School at 3000 East Tremont Avenue, Bronx from Noon to 4 pm * Press conference scheduled for 1 p.m.

* Boriken Neighborhood Health Center at 2253 Third Avenue, Manhattanfrom Noon to 4 pm * Press conference scheduled for 2 p.m.
